Adominique GunnLet me begin by introducing myself. My name is Ms. Adominique Gunn. I am an educator in the Math and Computer Science Department at Indiana State University. I have taught Math 115 and a number of other courses in the Developmental Math Department since 2017. I am an alum here at ISU; I received my Bachelor Degree in Mathematics and Mathematics Education in 2013. I have also completed two Master’s Degrees, one here at Indiana State University in Mathematics (2017) and the other in Curriculum and Instruction at Olivet Nazarene University (2016). So you can say I have had my fair share of classroom experiences.

I was born and raised in the suburban outskirts of Chicago, IL. I have four beautiful children, and another on the way!! They keep me very busy with athletics. I coach little league baseball and football, and in some instances, when needed, basketball. We are huge sports fans. In my spare time we love to watch professional football, baseball, and basketball (Although I would prefer their little league events over the professionals any day!). Prior to teaching here at the University I taught for four years at Terre Haute North Vigo High School. I have also done some substitution work at Woodrow Wilson Middle School. In Vigo County I was a club sponsor for the Terre Haute North Vigo H.S. African American Educational and Cultural Club and S.T.E.M.S. (Sisters Together Encouraging & Mentoring Sisters) Club. I try to be the best role model I can be by leading the younger generations of our community down a path where, no matter the obstacle, they know anything is possible when putting forth the efforts. I will not say that things are easy but always possible.
