Jail Intelligence Unit (JIU)

The Jail Intelligence Unit (JIU) is a faculty ran, entry level internship preparing for the HTCU.  学生 are interviewed and selected based on a variety of key factors, 包括, but not limited too, 平均绩点.  学生 review a variety of data, such as video jail calls, phone calls and "chirps" or texts.  学生 review hours of data, processing it for information that may be helpful to investigations.  Student write reports based on their findings and are submitted to law enforcement.  This is a year long commitment in which students will earn credits for the class.  学生 utilize a variety of software to review the jail calls and to write forensic notes.  By offering such opportunities it offers students true hands-on learning and develops investigation skills that they will be able to use in their careers.
